The Power of Team

I grew up in a military family.  For those of you who didn’t, it means you are told usually every 2-3 years, that it’s time to move.  Okay, usually not that direct, there was some ploy…. don’t you love Disney World?  Wouldn’t you want to see the world’s largest crater?  Perhaps the largest ball of thread?   I am happy to say I was lucky enough to have seen those places and many more.  With every move inevitably there were tears, and I hate you’s, but there was also a lot of love.  Because when you were in a new spot…all you had was your primary team-your family.  So, you took time to play games, to explore, to find new things to do.  You talked nicer to your brothers and sister.  (Ok, so I had 4 brothers and sisters and we often stayed in 1 or 2-bedroom hotel rooms, so…we weren’t always nice to each other.)  I guess, you knew who you could trust, who shared the same experience as you, who you could try new things with.  I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the great leaders we had in my mom and my dad-no matter what they did it was, focused on their team’s success.  I am very blessed, because my first team, the one that matter most to me is my family.

Which team do you care about most?  How do you show them you care?  Why are they the team?
